First Session Wednesday March 14

Hi Everyone,

Please read the following information regarding COMBA 2018 Bantam AAA and AA Tryouts. We understand that a couple dates fall on Spring Break and as an association we have considered this.  However, we have decided to move forward with the below dates as we do not have enough available field time prior to spring break in order to complete a proper tryout process. If your child is going to miss tryouts due to holidays we will do our best to evaluate them using winter ball performance (if they participated) and the tryouts they are able to make it to.  Please let the coaches know of your particular situation prior to the start of the evaluations.

Tryout Dates

  1. Wednesday, March 14 at CNC (field 2) from 4pm-7pm - All players interested in AAA/AA (players to be put in 4 groups for hitting)
  2. Thursday, March 15 at Elks batting cages from 4pm-6pm - Hitting groups 1 and 2
  3. Friday, March 16 at Elks batting cages from 6:30pm-8:30pm - Hitting groups 3 and 4

  6. Saturday, March 24 at CNC (field 1) from 12:45pm-2:15pm - *AA Tryout If Necessary or first official AAA Practice*

All players interested in trying out MUST be registered under COMBA. Registration fees are for house play but if a player makes the AAA or AA team those funds will applied towards their single season fee. Late fees of $50.00 go in affect March 1st Please go to the link below to complete registration.

As well to help coaches better evaluate players during tryouts please complete the form below;

Out of Catchment Players

For those players wanting to tryout for AAA from a different association a release form MUST be completed prior to tryouts. Under BC Minor rules our AAA program is allowed to have 3 out of catchment players.

Commitment Required

Lastly, I would like to remind you that both AAA and AA are single season teams and require a lot of commitment. Practices are 2-3x/week and games are held every weekend (Saturday and Sunday 4 games) and travel to the coast usually occurs 1-2x/month. Once the season starts players are asked to be 100% committed. Coaches can make exceptions for some family events but families are asked that they try and avoid planning trips as best they can over the season. The AAA season ends after the August long weekend.
